Are you able to still buy games through the Wii Shop Channel albeit you have Homebrew?
Question by No Solution: Are you able to still buy games through the Wii Shop Channel albeit you have Homebrew?
I have recently downloaded the Homebrew channel, but for hacking purposes only. I am not going to download pirated games, watch DVDs through it, etc. But, I am wondering if I am able to buy a new game from the Wii Shop Channel without removing the homebrew channel (or worse, bricking my wii) as I still have 1000 points left to redeem.
I have version 4.2U and downloaded Homebrew through Bannerbomb.

Not unless you want Nintendo to break your door down and confiscate your wii you hacking fuck.

Homemade beer?
Question by Aaachoo!: Homemade beer?
I randomly acquired a home brew kit, and I’m pumped. However I didn’t get the manual or any recipes or anything. I tried to look it up online, but the sites I found are confusing, and they use words that I’m not familiar with, because I’ve never done it before!
So, are there any good books or sites that you know of that will help me make my own deliciously awesome beer?
Best answer:
Answer by Seven
from supermarkets or home brew shops you buy a tin with the recipe base. It tells you how to make it on that tin. If you buy it from a home brew shop, you will be able to quiz the store person too.

I am brewing my own soda. How can I bottle it and make it carbonated without having it ferment?
Question by Joel M.: I am brewing my own soda. How can I bottle it and make it carbonated without having it ferment?
I am planning on brewing and bottling (for gifts) my own soda. I want to experiment with different juices, etc. I have found plenty of recipes calling for yeast to add carbonation. Will the yeast ferment the beverage? I don’t want this.
Best answer:
Answer by Miz Lamb
Yeast will carbonate the drinks. I have made lots of soda and a bit of beer. When you bottle the soda it stops the fermentation from happening and all you get is the carbonation.
The fermentation happens in the fermentation bottles and they have a special plug or balloon on them to contain the fermentation.
When you bottle your sodas, you leave behind the yeast so it quits doing its thing.
Much good luck, I blew up my bottles on the last beer run!

Making wine?
Question by aaron.odonahue: Making wine?
What are some cool “need to get supplies” for someone making their own wine. I went to a website and bought everything that made sence to me for making wine for my wife as a gift. Is there a cool item in addition to what you could presume I’ve already gotten or an item I should make sure I get or get more of that people commonly understock?
Best answer:
Answer by Kevin G
Well it might help to know what you already bought, but here is a brief list. Of course you need a carboy, fermentation corks, a bottle corker, if you want to really impress her, get a labeling software kit, that let’s you design and print your own wine bottle labels. You need a theif, hydrometer, potasium sulfite and ingredients, depending upon what kind of wine you wish to make., and wine glasses…

I need a new college major, beer/wine making?
Question by Ben C: I need a new college major, beer/wine making?
I want to do something with wine making or beer making, something along the lines of that. I just don’t know which class I should be taking or even what that major would be under. Any help? Thanks

If you want to turn your beverage into a nationally recognized brand, then you’ll want some training in business, particularly entrepreneurship. In terms of actually making it? That’s a little trickier. Agriculture might be a good idea if you’re interested in wine; otherwise, look at nutritional science or culinary programs.

Where can I find quality winemaking kits for a reasonable price?
Question by Travis: Where can I find quality winemaking kits for a reasonable price?
I have decided to begin home brewing some fruit wines and was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to be ordering from? I don’t necessarily need the ingredients or anything like that with it, strictly the equipment.
Best answer:
Answer by shannlen
Check your local craigslist on-line. Winemaking is one of those things that lots of people tried, then lost interest. They end up almost giving away the equipment just to get rid of it because it takes up a lot of room. Also put an ad in the ‘wanted’ area of craigslist.
